Dragonlance #8
By: profjej
Date: December 31, 2025
Comment: Yes, I got to the end of that section and thought, "Well, I guess that was Caramon standing there." It has been a while since I read the original trilogy.
Dragons of Winter Night
By: waden34
Date: November 11, 2025
Comment: This was an okay book. I didn't read these in my early years, so I don't have the nostalgia that others seem to for the series.
Dragonlance #4
By: profjej
Date: October 25, 2025
Comment: Nice weaving of Kitiara in with this story.
Brothers Majere
By: profjej
Date: October 13, 2025
Comment: Improved as the story went along. I just have a hard time handling the premise that adventurers of the brothers' age and experience could play this kind of role in potentially world-ending events.
Darkness and Light

Comment: Am I the only one who finds gnomes tiresome?
Weasel's Luck

Date: September 16, 2024
Comment: Very annoying at first, but got much better as it went along.
Stormblade
Title: Stormblade
By: profjej
Date: April 15, 2024
Comment: The Tyorl/Stanach/Lavim relationship is obviously a recapitulation of Tanis, Flint, and Lavim, but there was enough originality in it (thanks to Kelida) that it didn't get boring.
The Legend of Huma
By: profjej
Date: December 5, 2023
Comment: Surprisingly outstanding.
Definitions of Honor
By: profjej
Date: December 10, 2022
Comment: Fantastic portrayal of minotaur honor culture. No need to caricature the villagers, though.
A Shaggy Dog's Tail
By: profjej
Date: December 6, 2022
Comment: This story is messed up.
Love and Ale
Title: Love and Ale
By: Filby
Date: September 17, 2022
Comment: This was an absolute slog to get through.
The Test of the Twins
By: Filby
Date: September 17, 2022
Comment: This would have been a truly great story if Caramon hadn't already described the entire thing in flashback in the Chronicles trilogy.
Wayward Children
By: Filby
Date: September 13, 2022
Comment: I was inordinately bothered by a few details, such as the fact that silver draconians are supposed to be nine feet tall and able to fly, and [spoiler]silver dragons don't breathe fire[/spoiler], because I'm THAT kind of nerd, but still a very good story with a twist that I... [continued]
The Blood Sea Monster
By: jemsmck
Date: February 28, 2022
Comment: The plaque they found bore the name Perechon which was indeed the same ship that Berem, Tanis, and the others sank in.
The Legacy
Title: The Legacy
By: profjej
Date: February 5, 2022
Comment: Great story. Extends some of the best themes from the earlier trilogies. Feels very weighty.
The Test of the Twins
By: profjej
Date: February 2, 2022
Comment: I would have thought this story would have been longer with more detail about the Trials. It seems like we didn't get much more information about the episode than we already had from the earlier trilogies.
Wayward Children
By: profjej
Date: January 22, 2022
Comment: At first I was skeptical of a story told from the perspective of a draconian, but this one turned out well.
Love and Ale
Title: Love and Ale
By: profjej
Date: January 22, 2022
Comment: I enjoyed the lighter tone of this story after all the dark magic, etc., of the earlier ones in the volume.
Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Light
By: profjej
Date: January 20, 2022
Comment: This is the sort of story I like . . . taking a minor character from one of the trilogies and giving him something significant to do.
A Stone's Throw Away
By: profjej
Date: January 20, 2022
Comment: Moral of the story: don't conjure demons.
The Blood Sea Monster
By: profjej
Date: January 20, 2022
Comment: Apart from this story's taking place on the Blood Sea, there's nothing connecting it to the other stories or characters we've seen so far in the (publication) order, so it was a little tough to get into. (Unless the wreckage they found was from the ship in Book III of the f... [continued]
Riverwind and the Crystal Staff
By: profjej
Date: January 9, 2022
Comment: I'm no poetry expert, but I've probably read more of it than most people. The verse here has some arresting imagery and tantalizing ambiguities. The free verse format kind of falls flat, though.
Time of the Twins
By: jemsmck
Date: August 23, 2021
Comment: This was honestly better than the first three books. You can definitely see the writing evolve and the character development flesh out a bit. Very fast paced and interesting story. I'm a sucker for time travel stories.
Test of the Twins
By: profjej
Date: August 7, 2021
Comment: Getting the band back together makes this volume the best of the three.
Aurora's Eggs
Title: Aurora's Eggs
By: profjej
Date: July 25, 2021
Comment: I enjoyed this story a lot more than I expected to.
Dragons of Winter Night
By: profjej
Date: May 8, 2021
Comment: Loved the book. Docked a star for the gnomes, whom I found vaguely irritating.
Dragons of Autumn Twilight
By: profjej
Date: May 8, 2021
Comment: First time rereading this in probably 30 years. All the feels.
Aurora's Eggs
Title: Aurora's Eggs
By: DELTA
Date: August 1, 2019
Comment: That is one badass fight. Good place to start an order. Never read anything about DragonLance before so that was a cool intro. 3/5: Not enough Dragons
Dragonlance #1

Comment: I love the coloring on this series.
The Legacy
Title: The Legacy
By: mormegil4
Date: December 21, 2018
Comment: I love this story. A lot of these continuing short stories are best read if you let some time pass between reading Legends and this. If you read everything quickly I think it takes away some of the bite.
Aurora's Eggs
Title: Aurora's Eggs
By: hendrica
Date: October 24, 2018
Comment: Had a bit of a slow generic history lesson start but the battle that eventually happened was well worth the wait.
Dragonlance #18
By: trogon
Date: September 7, 2018
Comment: Wow, not even a curse word but not allowed in the comments, apparently. I guess the site's software considers the female reproductive organ to be something in need of censoring moreso than DC Comics' editors did.
Dragonlance #18
By: trogon
Date: September 7, 2018
Comment: Just when I was wondering when we'd see some adversaries that weren't goblins, dragons or draconians, this issue answers the call with a giant***plant monster.
Dragonlance #8
By: trogon
Date: September 6, 2018 +1
Comment: This issue moreso than any previous issues of this series demands that the reader has read the Chronicles trilogy to understand what's going on. A scene from the novels featuring Raistlin, Caramon, and the Everman is almost randomly included here (in which Caramon isn't ev... [continued]
Dragons of Autumn Twilight
By: Neskit
Date: August 8, 2018
Comment: Great book, amazing story, a true classic. I can no wait to be able to read this with my boys.
